Double Team
Ever wondered whether combining two teams would be enough to win a title? Pick two clubs from the same league, choose players from their combined rosters, and put your team through a simulated season.
Your first game, step by step
Pick a league and mode
Choose NFL, NBA, MLB or Premier League on the homepage. Basic gives you a shorter roster with no budget. Pro adds a spending limit and the roster requirements shown below.
Choose two teams
Every player you select must come from these two source teams. Weaker source teams earn a larger score multiplier. The multiplier rewards a harder challenge; it does not make your players stronger.
Fill each roster slot
Select a position to see eligible players. Search by name, filter by source team, or sort the list. Use the displayed positions rather than assuming a player can fill any spot. You can remove a pick and replace it before submitting.
Run your season
Fill every required slot and, in Pro, get within the displayed budget. Run the season to reveal your record and championship outcome. The result actions let you share, challenge a friend or play again.
What goes into each roster?
Basic and Pro are separate competitions. A shorter Basic roster is an explicit game format, so it should not be compared directly with a real club’s entire squad.
- NBA Basic: PG, SG, SF, PF and C. NBA Pro: 15 players, including the starting five and bench slots shown in the builder.
- NFL Basic: one QB, one RB, three WRs, one TE, one team defense and one kicker. NFL Pro: 11 offensive and 11 defensive starters, without bench or special-teams picks.
- MLB Basic: nine hitters at C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF and DH, plus three starting pitchers and two relievers. MLB Pro: the same nine batting positions, five starting pitchers and four relievers. Neither mode has bench bats.
- Premier League Basic: a starting XI in a 4–4–2. Pro uses the full squad and position requirements displayed in its builder.
How does the Pro budget work?
NBA and NFL player prices use verified season cap charges. The NBA has a soft cap: BKG uses its displayed apron-based game budget, rather than trying to reproduce every NBA exception and transaction rule. NFL Pro applies the displayed cap to your 22 starters, not to a full professional roster.
MLB has no salary cap. Its Pro game budget is the average of the two source teams’ payrolls. Premier League prices are game prices, not club wages. Check the budget label and data page for the current amounts and source dates.
If you go over budget, remove an expensive pick and choose a cheaper eligible player. You do not need to abandon the team. A player cannot occupy two slots, even if they qualify for both.
A useful way to build
Check scarce positions before spending on stars. In baseball, two great shortstops do not solve a missing catcher. In football, a strong passing attack still needs blocking and defense in Pro. In basketball, shooting, creation and defensive roles matter alongside individual ability.
For example, you could combine one NBA team with a great point guard and another with a strong frontcourt. Basic lets you test that starting five immediately; Pro asks you to make the rest of the roster and its budget work too.
Reading and sharing your result
Season length and championship format follow the selected sport. Premier League is decided by the league table, not an NBA-style playoff bracket. Simulations can produce upsets; choosing famous players does not guarantee a title.
Your result keeps its roster and scoring version. Use the share controls for a persistent link and roster image, or challenge someone to build from the same two teams. Basic and Pro have separate leaderboards. Your unfinished roster saves in this browser; Play Again starts a new run.
